I wasn't feeling the best this afternoon - too much fun, too fast, I guess.  For our afternoon siesta, before the evening festivities I sat down and made these to add to the military series.

Baby Album

I wanted to do something for my sister who is having a baby and is due in March.  I looked at baby books at a few stores, but there wasn't anything that really had her style.  I decided to use a scrapbook to make one for her.  Big sister Hanna, if you're reading this, its a secret til Auntie Shel gets up there!!!  This is a burnt orange silk album cover, and I customized the front photo area with their names for now.

This is the inside "cover" page, and I spent hours and hours on the file, cutting, and gluing it all together.  You can't quite see all the detail here, but it turned out very much like I wanted it to.  I had the general color scheme already, but my kids helped me pick out the paper.

I filled the whole album with paper in the same color scheme and I'll be working on the inside pages like "First Smile", "First word",  weight and length, etc in the next few weeks.

This was definitely a labor of love!  I hope she loves it.

New Year Cuts for our scrapbook

I used a black glimmer cardstock for the top layer of black, and it turned out very elegant but it doesn't show well in the photos.

These are the beginning of our scrapbook.  My mom is taking our whole family to The Great Wolf Lodge for the New Year's Holiday and I plan to take lots of pics!

Glass Blocks

Here are examples of the glass blocks I made.  There were so many great suggestions on the forums, I wanted to try them all.  I still haven't decorated my glitter blocks, I have 2 days left to get them done. 

and here is Amanda with Emmett...not only do the dogs sit on the floor in my craft room, but my daughter does too.  I couldn't love them more.

I am celebrating today!  It's Christmas Eve and I have my first follower on my blog!  Yeah!  Thank you Roni, I am very excited!  As soon as the Holidays are over, I plan to create some more military paper doll costumes.  Please feel free to make suggestions, I love to have a challenge!

I was working on a very detailed graphic and finally had to take a break, a rest.  Even though I'm not ready for Christmas to be here, I was in the mood for celebration!

Christmas Cards

I made these reindeer for Christmas cards, but lo and behold, they were too big for the blank cards I bought!  Well, I decided to use them to create decorations for our cubicles at work, then made smaller deer for my Christmas cards.

I wanted to do some chalk, but even though I'd opened half the craft room boxes from moving, I could not find them.  Oh well, there's always next year!

English Tack

I started on this file, then moved on to other projects.  I came back to finish it and decided to expand it with paddocks and chaps and a dressage saddle.  I haven't decided yet if I'm going to tackle a bridle or not.  Hope you like it.  Please leave a comment! 

The boots are made to layer right over left, but they can also be used alone.

Haunted Halloween

Its a little late for Halloween but I was really challenged with this one (Sandy McCauley helped me out greatly) and I ended up really happy with the final product so I wanted to show it to you.

Here are samples of my very first KNK Studio projects (I've only been at this for about 2 months).  I did not have access to my KNK until 2 weeks ago so I'm just starting to cut.  I enjoy creating things, trying to turn my visions into usable files.  I got a lot of practice making paper doll outfits and am glad I was able to contribute to a group whose files I have downloaded.  I did some special requests, such as this soccer uniform, the airforce uniform, the hockey uniform, the Ethiopian boy and the Korean girl outfits and they were just as fun - I enjoyed the challenges!

 

This little russian girl outfit turned out cute.

Although its not a paper doll, it could be converted - this one is for my little sister!!!  She loves Rudolph.
