We're Moving

I probably won't be posting much here anymore.  We are moving to http://www.cuttinupdesigns.com/ to better accomodate future needs.  Please visit me there!  I look forward to seeing you again.

Here are my newest creations, though:

Another Twilight decal for my niece.  Next will be Carlisle, I promise.

I have lots of projects I'm working on for Valentine's Day!

Last Block

Now that the gifts have all been given and unwrapped, I can show you my niece, Hanna's, Christmas gift.  She is all about Twilight and Carlisle is her fav......

I used the Valspar Frosting spray and then sprinkled cosmetic grade glitter on it very lightly.

On our way....

We'll be on our way soon.  We have to drive out of the snow first and that's what I'm worried about.  Traverse City got 10-14 inches while we were here.  Altogether we'll be driving 8 hours or so today - YECK!  The kids are still sleeping right now though, so I am checking emails and postings and becoming impatient.  I am ready to be home with my animals and my craft room (that has only been set up for a month!).

I hear my dogs keep going to the windows and doors looking for me, I miss them so.  The horses just want to be fed, so I know they're fine and probably don't even realize we're not there.

Well, wish us luck on the roads.  The good thing is that the road commission workers up here know how to clear the roads, and the drivers know how to drive in this junk!

It's a balmy 84 degrees

two of my nieces

Sara 7 months pregnant, really enjoys the heat.  NOT!

The warmth did sister-in-law, Tina, in for a little while.

Ah, a moment to sit and relax

I wasn't feeling the best this afternoon - too much fun, too fast, I guess.  For our afternoon siesta, before the evening festivities I sat down and made these to add to the military series.

They will be available soon at http://www.quillingpatch.com/

Paper doll outfit - Army Fatigues

I used the clipping feature in KNK Studio to give it the camo look.

These paper doll outfits are FREE files shared at www.quillingpatch.com.

Baby Album

I wanted to do something for my sister who is having a baby and is due in March.  I looked at baby books at a few stores, but there wasn't anything that really had her style.  I decided to use a scrapbook to make one for her.  Big sister Hanna, if you're reading this, its a secret til Auntie Shel gets up there!!!  This is a burnt orange silk album cover, and I customized the front photo area with their names for now.

This is the inside "cover" page, and I spent hours and hours on the file, cutting, and gluing it all together.  You can't quite see all the detail here, but it turned out very much like I wanted it to.  I had the general color scheme already, but my kids helped me pick out the paper.

I filled the whole album with paper in the same color scheme and I'll be working on the inside pages like "First Smile", "First word",  weight and length, etc in the next few weeks.
This was definitely a labor of love!  I hope she loves it.

New Year Cuts for our scrapbook

I used a black glimmer cardstock for the top layer of black, and it turned out very elegant but it doesn't show well in the photos.

These are the beginning of our scrapbook.  My mom is taking our whole family to The Great Wolf Lodge for the New Year's Holiday and I plan to take lots of pics!
